13 months in Baden Wurtemburg

Whew!! 13 months here have really flown by and now it is time for the next chapter!! A review in photos of all the fun I have experienced living abroad here in Germany.

Chilly Day Chili

Steinbach

A Small, quaint town in the heart of the Black Forrest, Thomas and I stopped at the Guesthause Hirch for a wonderful german meal, the church bells rang, and the service was nice, the food superb. A town that one can easily relax in and fully enjoy!!! A place to get a breath of freshContinue reading “Steinbach”

Laufenburg and Leistal, Switzerland

What a wonderful adventure–driving through Freiburg, Germany (where we stopped for a Cappuccino), we continued on the #5 interstate, through border control/inspection, and into Switzerland!! We were able to change countries in a matter of about 2 1/2 hours, which to my American mind, is just outstanding and so surprising. I, with passport in tow,Continue reading “Laufenburg and Leistal, Switzerland”

An Evening of Chiming Bells

A long day of walking and siteseeing wound down with a lovely evening of church bells chiming to ring in the beauty of the day, which, of course, included a dark-strong coffee in a Italian cafe on the river’s edge. The river and the bells provided a lovely musical venue, with a menagerie of lyricalContinue reading “An Evening of Chiming Bells”

Make an Impression

Make me an offer!!! Making a good impression …with beautiful, original art. As seen in a January post I wrote,  I dream of selling an art piece of my very own, an adventure in eBay sales for sure!!! The price is currently at $700–but this is negotiable for sure, so make me an offer!! VanContinue reading “Make an Impression”

A whole Latte of Love

I admit it, i am guilty of coffee adventures and food sampling and i can not help myself!!  While all the photography is mine, none of the wonderful food or concotions contained in this post are of my creation. But, wow, are they delicous!! Sampled from all over the region, coffee and snack adventures areContinue reading “A whole Latte of Love”

Black Forrest National Forrest and a Village

15 kilometers in one day makes a very happy woman, and very tired feet!!! The adventure began with a tram ride to the North, and disembarking in Raumümzach–which only has one stop for the village (which also boasts a lovely place called ‘Hotel Waterfall’). I packed my lunch, grabbed my rucksack and off IContinue reading “Black Forrest National Forrest and a Village”

Dinner Made Easy

Baking is vastly becoming one of my favorite methods of cooking–it does not require constant attention, stirring, and often, it does not even require multiple pots, pans, bakeware–which is super nice and easy peasy when it comes to cleaning up. Who really wants to spend extra time doing prep, maintence cooking and clean–up when thereContinue reading “Dinner Made Easy”

Motodrom

What an absolutely wonderful way to experience a small village then by drinking the local fair. The barkeep here at Motodrom is super friendly and very helpful. She obliging gave me some of the local history here in Kirschbaumwasen, Baden Wurtamburg, Germany. Well worth seeing and spending the day here, great natural scenary with wonderfulContinue reading “Motodrom”
